3-4pm Sans Blix  Devin Lashbrook and Bob Libby are a two piece electronic outfit. Influences from Washed Out, James Blake, and Neon Indian can be dissected as the two wrap intertwining harmonies over electro-beats.

Deep Groove Records 110 Bridge Street

3-5pm Jake Fleming plays acoustic classic rock, some country, some current songs, ballads, oldies, deep cuts and all in between Over 30 years of experience performing in various rock bands in his home town of Virginia Beach, Virginia and has been living in Philadelphia since 2008.

5-7pm Blanko Dave has been playing semi-pro lead guitar for the last quarter century+ in bands in the Philadelphia area.  In the last five or so years Dave has achieved moderate success as this tall Blanko Dave “songer-singwriter” character, whose shows include original songs as well as ‘60’s rock and pop, alt-country, folk, and assorted blues material.  Blanko Dave originals deliver a strong country-rock power-pop stomp and deal with everyday subjects like the pursuit of happiness, regret, old Chevy's, and how freakin' messed up love can be.  Blanko Dave can currently be found performing in the Phoenixville area as himself and also with bands The National Bird, The Mingo Creek Balladeers, and last but not least, lounge-music masters The Thrifty Discount DJs. 

Phoenix Karate Center 224 Bridge Street

3-5pm Saint Phoenix is an East Coast alternative rock band from Philadelphia, PA, comprised of students from both Temple and Kutztown Universities. The trio consists of Eddie Meyer on vocals and lead guitar, Tyler Maute on bass, and Logan Moyer on drums. Entering the local scene, the band can be primarily heard in venues throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
 
5-7pm Audio Kings Of the Third World mix Rockabilly, Garage Rock, New Wave and Electronica to create an original sound that is both catchy and fun to dance around to. Memorable hooks, fuzzy guitars, funky drum loops together with a quirky theatrical stage show fronted by lead singer Johnny Oates, Audio Kings consist of Guitars/ Keys/ bass / Loops Jack Cannon, Guitarist James Hall. With a commitment to pop structure and contrasting indie sensibility their sound evokes Joy Division, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Gang of Four and The Fall. Set your Rock N' Roll Phasers to stun, here come the Audio Kings of the third world.

3-5pm Slave Dog  is a thunder-hungry quartet of musicians who are determined to bring their brand of honest, energetic, hard-hitting, emotionally-charged original music to the masses. Their 90's-driven, groove-heavy sound seamlessly and progressively fuses together elements of funk, punk, indie, alternative, and grunge rock to create music that is both unique and relatable to their fans. Since its inception in 2014, the band has gathered a strong local fanbase by playing ferocious sets and winning audiences over during their live shows.

5-7pm Space Caravan - Formed in the early summer of 2015, Space Caravan is an up-and-coming, hard-rocking power trio who is all about riff worship and good times. Their blend of classic rock, heavy blues, and metal delivers a monolithic sonic package that always keeps heads banging and hips shaking

3-5pm Dirk Quinn  is the guitarist for a high energy funk/jazz band based out of Philadelphia that travels extensively throughout the US and Canada. Utilizing over a decade of steady performing, Quinn has developed a unique and progressive style - one that appeals to a wide variety of music listeners with fans ranging from the jam band hippies to the jazz snobs. Drawing inspiration from every musical genre, his solo acoustic sound has been compared to the guitar “pyrotechnics” of Keller Williams and Michael Hedges, while his full band compositions bear resemblances that range from the honest, urban funk of Soulive to the brave experimentation of Medeski

3-5pm The Great Endangered  With a classic sound pushed through an alt-rock filter, The Great Endangered is the Philadelphia area’s progressive-indie-blues band. With their genre-spanning influences, The Great Endangered rarely gets compared to the same band twice. Steeped in blues without being a throwback; driven to rock without being heavy-handed; and stretching-out a jam or two without losing focus,TGE mixes well-crafted songs, ranging from electrifying blues-based rockers to delicate chill-outs, with fiery jams that leave audiences in a musically-induced frenzy. Fans of classic rock, xpn rock, and jam rock have to come out to Jaworski’s to check-out The Great Endangered!

5-7pm Man about a Horse offers up a really fun collection of Blue grass songs. Their high energy and harmony is sure to make you want to dance!

Phoenix Village Art Center 207 Bridge Street

3-5pm Stephen Dijoseph Anything can happen when award-winning multi-instrumentalist / composer / producer Stephen Dijoseph enters a studio. Whether it’s the percussive grooves of his solo guitar and vocals, the backing drives of a firey rhythm section, the quirk and funk of his trademark solo “Pianopoetry,” or the ease and flow of his ambient productions and collaborations, Dijoseph the recording artist is a man of many skills and moods. “Though technical preparation is required,” he emphasizes, “It’s all about what I feel.”

5-7pm Gypsy Funk Squad  plays a mix of classic belly dance songs from Turkey, Armenia, Egypt, The Balkans, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, and other points in the Middle east with a few revamped rock tunes and surprises thrown in...belly style! Nokota the belly dancer will be performing with them! The emphasis is on fun and a dancing good time!

3:30-5::30 Tres Compadres is a modern flamenco ensemble that combines latin and jazz influences with Spanish flamenco. A treat for the ears as well as the eyes as one of their beautiful dancers captivates audiences with the dance of the gypsys'. Since the release of their debut CD Que Pasa, Tres Compadres has been winning over music fans around the globe. Tres Compadres entered the top ten twice in Our Stage competions in 2008, in the categories of World Music and Solo Guitar Performance. 2009 brought in a nomination for best flamenco song from the international JPF music awards, and their version of Chick Corea's Armandos Rumba has recieved numerous downloads in several countries around the world. Tres Compadres will be joined by flamenco dancers Inez Korff and Lara Vracarich.

She has been compared to Laura Nyro, Tracey Nelson, and even Van Morrison. But she remains a truly unique stylist whose aim is to touch the hearts and minds of all those who hear her songs.
 
5-7pm The experiences Joe Kenney on piano shares with his audience are commonplace and relatable for so many -   Heartache.  Suffering.  Love.  Hate. There’s something calm, gentle, and adorning in his melodies.  Pain and triumph linger in the ear, anxiously awaiting the next story to be told.

3-3:50pm - Mister Smith and the Administration  combines the energetic power of the funk with the mellow intensity of psychedelic rock. The band's name is a nod to the fact that two of its members (Andrew Smith and Jess Gabage) are music teachers. Mr. Smith, backed by the Administration, will put some pride in your stride, some dip in your hip, and take you on a funky trip through time and space!

​4-4:50pm - Spelling Reform specializes in snarling pop rock, somber sing-alongs and roiling guitar solos, forming a potent combination of The Mountain Goats, The New Pornographers, The Weakerthans and Wilco. Formed in the summer of 2014, Spelling Reform has already garnered a serious following in the Philadelphia area, having been featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer, WXPN's The Key and more. The group is currently playing in support of its July 2015 debut EP Diving Bell, called "one of the best alternative records to hail from Philadelphia ... this year" by Third Outing. 

5-5:50pm - Not your average cover band -Jean Therapy offers a sophisticated fusion of Jazz, Rock, Latin & Pop. They draw upon a musical catalogue with a complex history - classic jazz-rock fusion, staples from the late 60’s to mid 70’s, standout contemporary hits, and updated jazz standards. Slightly off center, yet hauntingly familiar - there is a tongue-in-cheek nostalgia to this unique cover band’s repertoire. It’s fun. It’s adult. It’s unexpected.

7-7:50pm - Sangre Luna. Born under a blood-red moon, Sangre Luna is made up of two singer-songwriters, Mike (Sangre) and Abby (Luna).  Using their voices, their feet, their hands, a few guitars, a drum or two, and anything else they can beat or stomp on, they strive to create a unique sound influenced by their diverse musical backgrounds.  Imagine putting Americana, gospel, and blasphemy in a blender and pouring it over a pile of blues, alt-country, and rock'n'roll and then adding a pinch of shoegaze and goth-rock.  Oh, and then soaking the whole thing in tequila and setting it on fire.  Yea, somethin' like that..."

 Fire dancers for the Firebird Festival are provided by The Playing Mantis, Burning Hearts, and Adamo Ignis.Throughout the day, they will entice you with their mastery of fire, building up the excitement of the burning of the Phoenix.

8:00pm - Pageantry parade arriving with drummers, dancers, giant puppets and the torch that lights the bird.

The street performers up and down Bridge street, called buskers, are performing for tips. Please support local artists on the street and at the craft bazaar.

Catch the colorful inspiration of the Firebird dance ensemble in the parade or around the bird   organized by Lara Vracarich ofCreative Spirit Fusion.

Who all will be there? We don't know, but the Morris Dancers will be back again; dancing by Bank street. Take a look at their website, they are a facinating bunch.

Adamo Ignis
 shows you the passion of dance, the danger of fire, and many other tricks that will leave you longing for more and in love with more than just the flame.. performing acts such as fire eating and breathing, fire dancing, broken glass, bed of nails, and much more.
 
The Burning Hearts perform dazzling fire and light shows with hoops, poi, fans, staves and more. The Allentown-based troupe began in 2010 and performs throughout the northeast at festivals and events and choreographs a free theatrical performance every summer 

The Playing Mantis . They're very excited to be attending this unique and exciting community event, and are looking forward to a great burn! The Playing Mantis are based out of Wilmington,DE, They travels the east coast providing fire performance,instruction, and supply.

Barenheim is a medievalist group that focuses on recreating martial and peacetime aspects of life in the pre-modern era with a fantasy twist. Join them as they will be showcasing their finery and demonstrating their safe, full contact combat, in the field right next to the Phoenix, from 9am – 5 pm.
