The 2013 Phoenixville Firebird Festival will be held on Saturday, December 14th at Friendship Field thanks to the efforts of festival founder Henrik Stubbe Teglbjaerg, festival volunteers, and a groundswell of public support.
According to a Patch.com article:
"A plan for the Festival won unanimous approval by the Borough Council Tuesday night. The vote comes after months of work by the private, volunteer festival organizers to find a new home for what will be the Festival's tenth anniversary this year."
The Festival was moved from Bridge Street due to fire safety issues.
The inaugural Firebird Festival was held on the site of the new Borough Hall. The rich tradition will continue to prosper, and is even up for vote on Philly Hot List's "Best Local Event". Place your vote HERE.
