Frederick Douglass "His Life and Times" is a one-man show featuring renowned reenactor Fred Morsell as Frederick Douglass. It will be performed on Thursday, February 15th at 7:30 PM at the Phoenixville Area Middle School. Sponsored by the Phoenixville Area School District - there is NO CHARGE TO ATTEND!
“This event is a bicentennial celebration of the birth of Frederick Douglass and his life’s journey. Born a slave, he eventually escaped to freedom, and became a voice for all of the oppressed. His message resonates still and can be heard in the struggles faced by all of those who have experienced discrimination of any kind. The evening promises to be a cultural, spiritual and educational experience of great significance for Phoenixville.”
- Sandy Claus, Community Relations Coordinator - Phoenixville Area School District
