Anthrophobia is definied by Webster's dictionary as "a pathological fear of people or human company." While this is hardly akin to band's sound, the PA legends have been perfecting their signature metal / hardcore since the 90s. They bring the ruckus to The Pickering Creek Inn this Friday June 15th along with Already DeaD (w/ members of Orcus), Slagmatter (w/ members of Loafass and Riverside Odds) and the loveable DJ Tony Cadaver of The Noid.
Anthrophobia can best be comparable to early hardcore bands like Bad Brains, Helmet, and Faith No More. All Music Guided noted that they "sometimes sounds like Quicksand fronted by Rob Zombie." Lead vocalist Frank Phobia delivers his diatribes over a churning bed of metallic, angst-driven grooves, delivered with a no-nonsense aesthetic.
Don't miss your chance to see some real rock and roll heroes up close and personal.
