Witchfinder General will be showed at The Colonial Theatre this Friday, March 11th at 10:15 PM. There will be giveaways and prizes including the highly sought after Vincent Price Figure (vincentpricefigure.com) from Rue Morgue RIPpers.

Directed by Michael Reeves, Witchfinder General (UK, 1968, NR, 86 minutes, MGM, 35mm) is a historical drama starring  Vincent Price as Matthew Hopkins.

The TLA Film and Video Guide says:
"In 17th century England, during the struggle between Cromwell and the Crown, Hopkins and his associates seek out and persecute “witches,” as well as anyone else who incurs their wrath. When Hopkins executes the priest of a small town for being a warlock he and his partner find themselves the target of a young soldier who leaves his post in Cromwell’s army to huny down and kill the pair. The movie is immensely engrossing and captures the English period detail remarkably well for a low-budget production. Price is at his menacing, sadistic best.”
