Fenice Creolo (902 Village At Eland) offers a fusion of Italian, American and Creole (Cajun) food and a diverse menu with appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. Recently, they've added Uncle B's BBQ to their arsenal of offerings, which is a great thing. B's resides in the takeout beer area and is available to order separately from the restaurant, but is also incorporated into several of the restaurant's dishes. This makes for an interesting and rather successful partnership.

Of the BBQ dishes, we tried the brisket on fries... It was a slopfest, but delicious. From the creole kitchen, we tried the crawfish poppers, which were perfectly lightly battered, almost like beignets. The service was excellent and the bar room had a great laid back vibe. The adjacent dinner area seemed to be a perfect place to have a nice meal, but not too stuffy. Everyone who waited on us was friendly and helpful.

Fenice Creolo is a great place to kick back and enjoy some beverages and interesting bar snacks. The beer selection is vast, although not quite as vast as The Epicurean. On this night, some of the more interesting drafts included Neshaminy Creek Trauger Pilsner, Abita Purple Haze, Dock Street Man Full o' Trouble Porter, Lancaster Gold Star Pilsner, Yard's Love Stout on Nitro, Bullfrog Brewing Edgar IPA, and Berwick Brewing High Town Stout. Their happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 5pm - 7pm with discounted drafts, cocktails, wines & food. We took advantage of the half price apps (smoked wings and voodoo tenders) as well as the "$1 off drafts" special. Four bucks for a plate of well prepared wings is a great bargain!

For dessert, the cinnamon roll bread pudding was a standout. It had buttery cinnamon swirled through out and was topped off with cream cheese frosting, raisins, and praline. And if that's not enough, it comes with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. Straight up bangin'!

I suspect that we'll be returning to Fenice Creolo sometime soon. Highly recommended!

One of the best restaurants in the Philadelphia area. We've eaten there three times, and we'll be back. Great food, great service, great people and great vibes.
